What do we Teach? Students at the Eastern Academy of Martial Arts
learn a unique blend of the most effective martial arts that exist.
Muay Thai Thai Boxing, developed in
Thailand drives from the Thai military art of Kabri Kabrong and is the national sport of Thailand.
An art from which utilizes the practitioners natural body weapons; punches, elbow strikes, kneeing,
and powerful kicks with the shin, to create a devastating fighting style, in both the ring and on
the street. The use of specially designed striking equipment allows you to deliver blows with full
force and with an emphasis on the physical conditioning and cardiovascular benefits of Muay
Thai
Thai Boxing. The students will not only improve their martial arts ability, fighting ability and
self defense, they also gain a greater physical appreciation of what can be accomplished by training
in the art of Muay Thai Thai Boxing. There is no belt system in Thai
Boxing and it can be learned
quickly.

The Filipino Martial Arts

The Filipino martial art is one of the
most exciting, complete, and practical of the martial Arts. This is a weapon-based art that stresses
the relationship between weapons, empty hands, and footwork. Unlike any other Martial art, weapons
are taught first. The Filipino martial art training includes: single and double stick techniques,
representing a bladed weapon, single and double knives, short and long sticks. These techniques are
all practical for use on the street.

Jun Fan Gung Fu Jeet Kune Do Concepts / The art and philosophy of Bruce Lee
Jun Fan Gung Fu (Jeet Kune Do Concepts) is the name for the concepts developed by the late
Sifu Bruce Lee. Jun Fan Gung Fu is the foundation from which Jeet Kune Do evolved. Bruce Lees
concept was to be well rounded and continually adapting. The philosophy frees it practitioner form
sticking to any one style. The students learn to flow from long distance kicking range to middle
distance hand range and close quarter trapping and grappling range. Jun Fan (JKD) training consists
of punching and striking techniques, kicking, kneeing and joint locking, grappling, takedowns, and
sweeping techniques. Jun Fan (JKD) includes Western Boxing,
Wrestling, Judo, Jiu-Jitsu, Wing Chun,
Fencing, Thai Boxing, French Savate, etc

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (Grappling) is the most
respected fighting style in the world. Through training the students will develop the physical and
technical skills to successfully execute defensive and offensive moves, the ability to plan and
anticipate all counter moves, and perfect the strategies of takedowns, sweeps, throws, body
positioning, and body control. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
(Grappling) will provide you with a physical and mental
challenge that encourages growth as an individual and a
Martial Artist.

Combat Submission Wrestling (CSW) |

Combat Submission Wrestling or CSW is a no holds-barred
fighting system (vale tudo) founded by World
light-Heavyweight Shootwrestling Champion Sensei Erik
Paulson. CWS is a blend of grappling techniques and concepts
from Judo, Freestyle, Wrestling, Greco Roman Wrestling. With
submissions and maneuvers from Shootwrestling, Brazlian
Jiu-Jitsu, Sambo and Catchascatchcan, as well as striking
techniques from Boxing, Muay Thai (Thai-Boxing), French
Savate kickboxing, and STX (Sensei Paulson's own Savate-
Thai Boxing cross blend). CSW teaches the students how to
effectively function and flow offensively and defensively
from kicking to punching and grappling range ultimately on
the ground.
